The southern lighthouse keeper, Julia "Archangelina" Rose and her bodyguard Kamila "Kam" Daima. This is the first in a four-part series of drawing depicting the mage-light choosing -an event in the story that takes place in the beginning when the magelight (the pulling force of magic that exists in all the world) chooses a lighthouse keeper and a keeper's protector from a slew of Southland sailors, navigators, Ladies, and cabin girls (each one of them of pirate blood).
